Programs at Strathclair
Strathclair Farm offers a variety of equestrian programs designed to provide opportunities for riders of all ages to learn, grow, and enjoy time with our horses. Explore our riding lessons, summer camps, clinics, lease weeks, and other special programs to find the right experience for you or your child.
Riding lessons
Our lesson program focuses on developing capable, confident riders while teaching the horsemanship skills that go along with riding. Students learn proper grooming, tacking and horse handling, with an emphasis on safety, responsibility, respect and compassion for horses.
Strathclair has a wonderful variety of Club Horses, affectionately known as our Clubbies, to suit riders of all ages and experience levels, from beginner through advanced.
Whether riding for fun, personal growth or with the goal of competing, students are encouraged to progress at their own pace while building good riding and horsemanship skills. Some lessons may include theory-based instruction, limited to a maximum of two theory lessons per session. Riders may also have opportunities to participate in clinics and fun shows throughout the year.
Group Lessons
Learn alongside other riders in a small group setting. Group lessons include up to five riders in a weekly one-hour class, with plenty of opportunity to learn, improve and enjoy riding together. Each rider is matched with one of our Clubbies based on their riding level.
Semi-Private Lessons
Strathclair also offers semi-private lessons for riders looking for a smaller lesson setting with more individualized instruction. Private lessons are offered through our discovery lesson package.
